Chiropractor in Lancaster : Dr. Skip George

I have always had the passion for providing chiropractic care to others. When I was young, I experienced severe migraine headaches for years. I went through the medical model and all it’s approaches of therapy and drugs, and yet continued to got worse. The last approach was to drill holes in my skull to release the pressure. At this point, my mother said no, and took me to a chiropractor.
My first chiropractic visit
When I had my first visit at the chiropractor, I just knew that I was at the right place. The office did not smell like medicines, and the people waiting for their adjustments were laughing and talking to one another. He sat down beside us and explained how the body works and heals, but did not talk much about the headaches that I was suffering from. Finally, he really connected with my mother and me. The chiropractor explained that the end result of my body not healing properly was because of the interference to the nerve system. The headaches were one of the symptoms of body breakdown.
I decided to become a Chiropractor at the age of 13
Within 6 months, I was migraine free, and this changed my life, because I decided to become a doctor of chiropractic at the age of 13. I have never regretted that decision. Chiropractors being accepted by the medical establishment or not, I knew that I wanted to dedicate my life to chiropractic and provide the right type of care for healing.
Everyday, I see self healing returning where others call that miracles. at 64, I decided to open another tonal adjusting center to help others reach their God Given right to self-heal and self-regulate.
Outside the office
Dr. George has 3 sons: Eric, Mark, and Scott. Dr George and his wife L.A are Board Members of the Lancaster Coordinators of the America’s 911 Ride. This is a national 3 day police escorted motorcycle ride that goes to all 3 sites of the 911 attacks, which is Somerset, PA, Washington D.C, and then to New York City, NY. Besides Chiropractic, Dr George loves to ride his Ultra Classic Screaming Eagle Harley Davidson motorcycle. Dr George and his wife L.A. George also love “RV”ing.
